Wow this is finally done and it is one of the biggest projects I’ve worked on so far in my web development career. I was tasked to create a full-blown site for a Music Producer, Sir Los, to showcase his music, videos and just update fans with what’s going on in his universe. The first thing that came to mind was a CMS and I decided to use WordPress because I’m more familiar with it after creating my website with it. First I had to created the design of the site to be as close as the final product and after many changes the outcome was good. After the design was done, its time to make the site function. WordPress was easy to get around this time around, however there were certain requests, such as lightboxes, which was a pain due to javascript conflicts but they were overcomed to create this masterpiece. DJ Smallz – SouthernSmokeStallions

Project

I was contacted again by DJ Smallz to create an identity for his new all female group called, Southern Smoke Stallions. He wanted something feminine, professional and appealing to youths. With a color scheme of pink, white and black, creating the logo was challenging and it forced me to learn new skills in Illustrator. As for the website, he wanted a clean and professional splash page for people to sign up, contact and purchase SouthernSmokeStallions merch. Using the same color scheme, creating this splash page was again challenging but it came out good. See for your self.

DJ Smallz – SoutherSmokeRadio

Project

I was approached by DJ Smallz, a famous DJ especially in Southern USA, to create a splash page for his radio podcast show. It was a straight forward project because he knew what he wanted so I was able to design and develop the splash page with little or no problems. Great client and I hope to work with him again.

Choppre – Apparel Design Portfolio

Project

I have been creating Apparel designs for about 2 years now and I always included it as part of nuBREEDlab but it did not feel right. So I decided to create a new website solely dedicated to my Apparel designs. Furthermore, I had entered into a T-shirt design contest on DesignByHumans.com and it motivated to create this website, advertise my entries and hopefully get people to come vote for me. For this project I really wanted a very simplistic and clean design. I got inspiration from Microsoft’s upcoming Windows Phone 7 UI and I used that inspiration to make a very simple and clean design with xHTML, CSS and jQuery. Furthermore, it is a good design for Version 1 of the website because I plan on improving the website from ground up using PHP/MySQL and implementing WordPress for updating the site. This is another design made for a shirt contest website. We’ve all wondered at one point in our lives if there exist extraterritorial lives out there and this was a chance for me to show how I think of the whole issue. This is one of the first shirts I illustrated from start to finish so it was definitely a good feeling when I saw the outcome. Error Quiz – Software Engineering Team Project

Project

This was a team project in my software engineering class. We had to create a website, for incoming freshman computer science students, that will help them to search for errors such as syntax errors and logical errors, which they have come across while programming and provide them with solutions to those errors. Furthermore, in order to help them improve their error solving skills, the students can sign up and they will be able to take error quizzes. These quizzes can be retaken and all their scores and progress will be saved so later on they can check and compare how they have improved on their error solving skills. These quizzes are created by the administrator/the instructor or whomever is the super user.

Marketing Project : EcoHero’s Fanpal – nuBREEDlab.com

Project

For my marketing project we were asked to create a new product and create a marketing plan for this project. We decided to call our company, Ecohero, and we our product is a solar powered fan called Fanpal. We only had to focus on how to do it but I decided to take it a step further and create a full blown promotional plan on how we would market our product to our target market. First, I created the logos for Ecohero and Fanpal respectively then went on to create a blueprint of how the product would look like and finally designed it. To further push our marketing, I created some sample posters for promotion but I was not satisfied with all this static design so I decided to create 2 promotional videos which depicted how our commercials will look like if we actually created this product. The first video caters to our primary target market, Green Conscious People, and the second video caters to our secondary target market, kids and people who love the out doors. I was very happy with the outcome of the whole promotional plan because it was not even required but because I love promotion, I just had to take the initiative and do it.

This design was originally made for a shirt contest website and everyone is always fighting to win win win but eventually they forget what made them to start designing in the first place, not for money but for the feeling they got from creating something that they put their hear into. So the idea behind this design is to let people know that shirt designing is not all about winning, its about putting your heart into your design and fight with art.

This website was created for my friends Marketing Project. The project was to create a business plan for any start up business and he chose to do an apparel company name Prodigy Apparel. He wanted a very simplistic design just to portray how his start up business website will look like and how it would function. I needed to create a brand that will appeal to his customers which was from ages 18 to 25. In addition to the brand, I create 3 pages, the Home page, the Shop page, and the Order page. For the Home page, I create a short animation to introduce the customer to Prodigy Apparel and let them know what they do. For the shop page I used some of my shirts I created in the past and used some jQuery for a larger view of the shirts. For the Order page, I place basic information that’s usually available at web shops but the “Add to Cart” button is not functional because this was just for prototyping purposes This was fun project because I had to bring so many things, from different categories, together.

It was a pleasure again to work with Future Sounds to create their Myspace page. Using the tech theme from the Future Sounds logo, I decided to make the background to look like a very high tech wall. In addition, doing the photo retouching was really fun to do because I got to create a Raiden-like (From Mortal Kombat) graphic for the profile picture except the main color is yellow

This project was to explore modeling electronic devices and animation. The idea was to create something simple but interesting to look at and a mac is definitely the right product for this project. Modeling the iMac in Cinema4D was fairly easy once I got the hang of it. After modeling, I animated again in Cinema4D and added the final touches such as the look and feel using curves and adjustment layers to make the final look the way it does.

Ctrl Alt Dream is an apparel company I was a part of and as the Creative Director I had to create several designs. The motto for this company is something like “Follow your dreams and never give up”, not the exact words but that’s what inspired me to incorporate the bird in the logo. All 4 shirt designs were based on the motto as well. I love how all the designs came out on the shirts but if I had to choose then my favorite design is the “Live Inspired” shirt. Other print designs made for this project includes buttons, shirt tags, and stickers. The buttons and stickers were given out as freebies for purchasing any Ctrl Alt Dream shirt, so it was definitely an incentive for customers. In addition to the print designs, I designed the Company Website, the Myspace page and the Store page. I learned a lot from this project and it was not only about designing, it was about how to get things ready for print, how to communicate with others properly in order to ensure we are all doing the what needs to be done, and how to market a product to customers.

Given my recent interest interest in extraterrestrial life, it was no surprise that Good Game Ent. contacted me to do several print designs for a rap group known as Space Ant Ent. I have no previous experience with CD covers but it was fairly straight forward. The CD covers for the front and the back were the first print designs I did for this client and they were happy with the result so much that they asked for 2 poster designs to promote the Mixtape. Great project and the end results is definitely what I had imagined when they introduced me to the project.

Coastal Cruzn is a pedicap business running in Ocean City, MD and they asked me to create a logo for them. They wanted the logo to reflect what their business is about and the location of the business, “Ocean City”. With a summer and ocean theme, I decided to turn the “C” into a wave and since it is a pedicap business I decided to use the wheels for the “O”.
